Israel calls a halt to fighting
ISRAELI Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ordered the army to end the fighting in Lebanon hours earlier than a deadline imposed as part of a UN-brokered truce, but after fierce clashes left scores dead in Beirut and the country's south.
